Dark plum, strawberry, praline, roasted chestnut aromas with hints of orange peel and aniseed. Generous and velvety textured wine with ample plum, blackberry, strawberry fruits, lovely al dente freshness, very good volume, underlying mocha notes and hints of tobacco leaf. Finishes chocolaty firm with attractive mineral length. 85% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. 15% alc Valandraud 96–97 Deep colour. Fresh blackcurrant black cherry dark chocolate aromas with cedar notes. Beautifully balanced wine with lovely dense pure dark berry fruits, plentiful chalky/cedary tannins and well integrated mocha, roasted chestnut notes. Lovely vinosity and volume. Top notch. Generous and voluminous with plentiful dark chocolate, cacao, panforte roasted chestnut vanilla flavours and fine gravelly tannins. Finishes sinewy/cedary and long. 60% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. 15% alc Clos Fourtet 95–96 Deep crimson colour. Intense dark plum, musky, mulberry, cassis aromas with touch of vanilla, roasted chestnut. Densely concentrated with lovely deep-set dark plum, cassis fruits, fine grainy firm tannins and underlying savoury notes. Lovely wine with superb potential.
