Plince 90–91 Deep crimson colour. Cedar, sandalwood, blackberry, plum aromas. Richly concentrated and sweet fruited with smooth dark berry fruits, prominent cedar, sandalwood flavours, fine bittersweet/gravelly tannins and fresh long acidity. Still in parts, but will come together with oak currently at the fore. 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc. Beauregard 89–90 Medium-deep crimson colour. Contrived/confectionary-like red cherry red plum aromas and flavours, dense chocolaty textures, some savoury nuances and integrated mineral acidity. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon. 50–60% new oak. La Cabanne 88–89 Deep crimson colour. Sweet ribena, raspberry pastille aromas with touch of vanilla. Dense and sweet fruited with blackcurrant/cassis/raspberry flavours, fine grippy/briary textures and underlying mineral/saline notes. Merlot, Cabernet Franc. 55% new oak.
