Rouget 95–96 Deep crimson colour. Intense pure dark plum, red cherry, chinotto aromas with herb garden notes. Fresh and minerally palate with attractive dark plum, mulberry, red cherry fruits, fine slinky touch sappy tannins, lovely mid palate viscosity/richness and well integrated crisp acidity. A touch of whole bunch gives intrigue. Merlot, Cabernet Franc. 25% new oak. 95–96 Deep crimson colour. Wax polish, cedar, dark plum aromas with mineral notes. Inky deep and generous with plentiful dark plum, blackberry dark chocolate flavours, supple ripe tannins and noticeable cedar, roasted chestnut, vanilla spice oak notes. Finishes chocolaty with sesame notes. All in parts, but should develop very well. 96% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc. Vray Croix de Gay 94–95+ 13.9% alc Trotanoy Deep crimson colour. Violet, camomile, mulberry nutmeg aromas with hint nougat notes. Sweet fruited wine with ample mulberry, cassis parma violet flavours, fine loose-knit chalky firm tannins, some marzipan, nougat notes and fresh long quartz-like acidity. Finishes firm and long. Very approachable and lovely to drink. 72% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Franc. 21% new oak, with small percentage in amphorae. Clinet 94–95 Deep crimson colour. Lovely intense musky plum, hint Turkish Delight, chinotto aromas with hints of aniseed/violets. Generous, supple and velvety smooth with plentiful musky plum, cola, hint negroni flavours, classical grainy tannins, lovely mid palate density and long refreshing acidity. Very decent. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon. 65% new oak. Guillot Clauzel 94–95 Medium-deep crimson colour. Liquorice musky plum, blackberry pastille aromas with marzipan vanilla notes. Concentrated musky plum, blackberry liquorice fruits, plentiful fine graphite tannins and well integrated fresh acidity. Supple, generous, and sweet with attractive mineral length. Delicious. 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc. 14.5% alc Lagrange 94–95 Medium-deep crimson colour. Intense dark chocolate, dark plum, blackberry aromas. Generous and inky textured wine with lovely dark cherry, blackberry, dark plum fruits, fine slinky firm textures and well balanced marzipan, roasted almond notes. Finishes chalky al dente and bittersweet. 100% Merlot.
