Classically proportioned wine with beautifully ripe and expressive dark plum, blackcurrant fruits, fine dense chalky tannins, superb mid palate volume and well integrated savoury, roasted chestnut notes. Lovely buoyancy, richness and mineral torque. A must-buy wine. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc. 50% new oak. Hosanna 96–97 Deep crimson colour. Intense blackberry, black cherry, musky plum aromas with dark chocolate, hint Parma violet notes. Beautifully concentrated wine with inky deep dark berry fruits, fine supple tannins, very good mid palate density, some roasted chestnut cedar notes and long mineral saline acidity. 74% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc. Latour à Pomerol 96–97 Deep crimson colour. Plush dark chocolate, musky plum aromas with roasted chestnut notes. Richly flavoured wine with deep-set dark plum, blackberry fruits, chocolaty tannins, superb inky density and fresh marzipan, cedar notes. Finishes long and sweet, with lovely mineral length. Oak sits above fruit a touch, but this will come back. For the long haul! 100% Merlot. Les Pensées (de Lafleur) 95–96+ Deep crimson colour. Intense red plum, chinotto, hint mint aromas with herb garden dark chocolate notes. Supple and deeply set with ripe red plum, panforte, dark chocolate flavours, fine bittersweet tannins, a touch of graphite and liquorice/aniseed. Wonderful richness, volume and torque. Touch of saline at the finish. 57% Merlot, 43% Bouchet (Cabernet Franc). 14.5% alc Séraphine 95–96+ Deep crimson colour. Complex and fresh dark plum, strawberry, graphite, wax polish, hint demi glace aromas. Chocolaty textured wine with ample dark plum, black cherry pastille fruits, sinuous fine loose- knit chalky textures, lovely mid palate density, wax polish marzipan, grilled nut nuances and fresh integrated acidity. An inky plume at the finish. Beautiful minerally wine with lovely pure fruits. 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. 14% alc
