La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc 94–95 Pale colour. Intense lemon glacé grapefruit aromas. Generous and supple with ample fresh sweet lemony glacé fruits, fine lacy textures and bright acidity. Touch flinty notes. Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc. Around 50% new oak. 14.3% alc de Fieuzel 93–94 Deep crimson colour. Impressive blackcurrant, dark chocolate/praline aromas and flavours with fine grainy tannins, attractive mid palate density and underlying savoury complexity. A touch of aniseed at the finish. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot. 60% new oak. Domaine de La Solitude Blanc 93–94 Pale colour. Lemon curd, hint marzipan tonic water aromas. Sweet fruited wine with ample lemon glacé grapefruit tonic water flavours, fine lacy textures and fresh marked acidity. 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% 93–94 Deep crimson colour. Intense dark cherry cassis chinotto aromas and flavours, lovely mid palate richness and sinuous fine tannins. Builds up cedary firm at the finish. Very well balanced wine with classic vigour and freshness. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. 14% alc L’Esprit de Chevalier Blanc 93–94 Pale colour. Fresh Lemon curd, verbena camomile aromas with herb notes. Sweet fruited, lemon glacé fruits, fine lacy textures, a core of sweet fruit and fresh marked/indelible acidity. Finishes minerally and long. A touch of flinty complexity. 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon. 13.5% alc La Clarté de Haut-Brion 93–94 Pale colour. Grapefruit, tonic water, touch lemon curd, tropical fruit hint nettles. Fresh pure fruited wine with tonic water notes, fine lacy chalky tannins and marked acidity. Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc. About 45% new oak. 14.8% alc Le Clarence de Haut-Brion 93–94 Medium-deep crimson colour. Intense black cherry leafy hint pippy aromas with dark chocolate notes. Deeply concentrated black cherry elderberry fruits, vigorous dry tannins, attractive mid palate richness and long fresh but marked acidity. Needs a long time to come around. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon. About 30% new oak. 15.4% alc Semillon. 13.5% alc L’Esprit de Chevalier
