Very minerally and structured palate with plentiful dark and red berry fruits, sinewy firm tannins and some bittersweet notes. Finishes cedar firm with very good length. (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot. 40% new oak.) Siran 92–93 Medium-deep crimson colour. Pretty redcurrant, red plum, touch strawberry aromas with aniseed notes. Supple and sweet-fruited with fleshy redcurrant, strawberry, cassis fruits, chalky al dente tannins and some savoury nuances. Finishes chalky and long. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot. Dauzac 90–91 Medium-deep crimson colour. Fresh red cherry, redcurrant aromas with hints of liquorice. Juicy and moderately concentrated with ample red berry and dark berry fruits, some brambly textures and fresh searing acidity. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot. 65% new oak. Montbrison 90–91 Medium-deep crimson colour. Lifted red cherry, redcurrant, touch varnishy aromas and flavours, grainy firm slightly drying tannins and some savoury oak complexity. Finishes firm and tight. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot. 40% new oak.
