Beautifully concentrated wine with ample elderberry, ripe dark cherry, dark plum fruits, hint bitter dark chocolate notes and supple firm chalky tannins. Lovely complexity and mineral length. 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. 14% alc Kirwan 93–94 Deep crimson colour. Intense black cherry, marzipan, roasted chestnut aromas and flavours with vanilla notes and fine loose-knit slinky/ chocolaty tannins. Fresh cedary touch wood varnish finish. Sweet blackcurrant pastille, dark cherry, cacao flavours, fine bittersweet tannins and well balanced cedar complexity. Very good volume and mineral length. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot. Rauzan Gassies 93–94 Medium-deep crimson colour. Fresh cassis, plum, red liquorice aromas with savoury notes. Well concentrated with ample blackcurrant, liquorice flavours and fine gravelly/al dente tannins. Finishes briary and minerally. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot. 50–55% new oak.
