Laterite Hills Chardonnay 2021 Medium-pale colour. Flinty, chalky, white peach, white apricot aromas. Well concentrated white peach, lemon curd flavours, fine loose-knit chalky/grippy textures, some yeasty complexity and fresh long tangy acidity. 2022–2028 Oates Ends G 92 Chardonnay 2021 Pale colour. Fresh grapefruit, lemon curd, leesy, tonic water aromas with marzipan notes. Generous and creamy with ample grapefruit, passionfruit, lemon curd, nectarine fruits, underlying al dente textures and integrated marzipan vanilla oak. Minerally finish with passionfruit/oaky notes. 2022–2028 Wills Domain G 92 Eightfold Chardonnay 2021 Pale colour. Lifted lemon curd, marzipan aromas with flinty, herb notes. Attractive bitter lemon, grapefruit flavours, some honey/tonic water notes. Fine lacy textures, very good mid-palate richness and crispy long acidity. Very good vinosity and mineral length. 2022–2026 Windows Estate G 92 Petit Lot Chardonnay 2021 Pale colour. Flinty, grapefruit, lemon aromas with herb garden notes. Elegant palate with flinty grapefruit, bitter lemony flavours, pithy/ al dente textures and some savoury complexity. A caricature. Flinty elements tend to dominate, but with some bottle age, these characters will settle down. Could be a sleeper! 2022–2028 Brown Hill Estate G 91 Golden Horseshoe Chardonnay 2020 Pale colour. Grapefruit, pear skin, flinty aromas with tonic water notes. Elegantly styled with bittersweet grapefruit, melon fruits, fine chalky textures, some tonic water notes and fresh tangy acidity. Refreshing and minerally. 2022–2028 Clairault Streicker G 91 Estate Chardonnay 2018 Pale colour. Grapefruit, white peach, lanolin aromas and flavours, fine supple textures, attractive vanilla, marzipan notes and soft mineral acidity. Gentle and complex. 2022–soon
