Medium-deep crimson. Beautiful fragrant pure black cherry, dark plum aromas with hints of stone fruits, camomile and aniseed. Generously flavoured with ample dark berry fruits, a touch of dark chocolate, fine grainy firm tannins and underlying savoury notes. Crisp and chocolaty at the finish. Familiar yet different. Delicious to drink. Now–2028 2022 Two Hands Wines Yesterday’s Hero McLaren Vale Grenache G 92 Mid-ruby in colour for this modern expression of McLaren Vale Grenache that is immediately approachable, thanks to luscious layers of cherry liqueur, new leather and liquorice allsorts, wrapped up in a silky cloak of oak. Generously fruited with supple, spicy layers of red liquorice flavour, chiselled tannins helping to provide good definition to the finish. 2024–2029 2021 Kay Brothers Griffons Key Grenache G 92 This bold and robust 2021 Grenache displays lashings of of baked earth and dried herbs over a rich bed of cherry compote. Soft mid-palate, Fragrant bouquet of fresh-picked strawberries and cherries, hint of dried herbs. Fresh and lively with vibrancy and percussion offering sweet- fruited red cherry and supple tannins. An open-knit, modern style of Grenache ideal for summer drinking. 2023–2026 2022 Penfolds Bin 21 Grenache G 92 Medium crimson. Fresh camomile, musky plum, cola aromas with some savoury notes. Well concentrated pure musky plum, chinotto flavours, fine slinky textures, attractive mid-palate viscosity and fresh long acidity. Finishes with aniseed notes. Classical and expressive early drinking style. 100% Grenache, matured in a combination 5% one-year-old and 6% new French oak and other parcels, primarily seasoned oak.
