2021 Chardonnay The Landing Chardonnay

G 93

Exotic and forward nose of pineapple and baked peach. Bright, fresh and powerful. Excellent freshness and star bright acidity, with hints of struck-

match complexity and a long finish. 2021 Man O’ War Mathilda Kulta Chardonnay

G 93

Opens with a reductive note of struck-match, gun flint and rubber. Excellent freshness, notes of pineapple, vanillin, and just ripe white peach, with well integrated toasty notes and a long savoury, slightly wet stone finish. A unique style with a pithy grainy edge, clean and bright, slightly angular despite its obvious artefact. Still very young; will look more integrated in 2–3 years. 2022 Byron & Harold The Partners Chardonnay G 92 Forward, ripe white nectarine, hint of toast, and cashew. Builds more texture and layers towards the finish. Now–2028 2022 Thompson Estate The Specialist Chardonnay G 91 Restrained bouquet, hint of white peach. Struck-match, flinty notes open to reveal vibrant white peach notes complemented by toasty oak. Good freshness and intensity. Now–2027
