Made by Jules and Bec Ashmead (their history combines Campbells in Rutherglen and Elderton in the Barossa), the colour is crimson/magenta. The nose offers notes of dark cherries, chocolate, liquorice, dry herbs, soy, beefstock and aniseed. A fresh and energetic palate, the wine has good focus, as well as balance and length, finishing with fine tannins. A very attractive package, all round, this is a ten-year proposition. Drink now–2035
