Dark red/magenta in colour, there are dry herbs, red fruits, dark cherry notes, freshly unearthed beetroot and truffles on the nose. A nicely balanced style, this offers a seamless and sleek texture with a long, lingering finish and satiny tannins. Like this a lot. A wine destined for the long haul. Drink now–2040 Glaetzer Wines Pty Ltd Wallace Shiraz Grenache 2022 G 93 Medium-deep crimson. Dark plum, redcurrant black olive tapenade aromas and flavours with cedar spice notes. Lovely inky density, fine chalky tannins and fresh juicy acidity. Early drinking style. Drink now– soon Golden Amrita Single Estate Shiraz 2021 G 93 Again, from the brilliant 2021 vintage, the wine spent time maturing in a mix of French and new American oak. An impressive Barossa Shiraz, the colour is an inky black/maroon. The nose gives us notes of liquorice, chocolate, mocha, blackberries, beefstock, plums and graphite. Good focus; there is impressive length here and abundant tannins, tying the finish together – abundant, but fine and soft. The finish lingers beautifully and notes of choc/cherry emerge on the palate. Will provide pleasure for many years. Drink now–2040
