Deep crimson. Black cherry minty aromas. Fresh glossy sweet black cherry pastille fruits, some cola/ mint notes and persistent chalky mineral textures. Finishes chalky firm and minerally. Buoyant early drinking bistro style. Drink now–soon. Henschke Five Shillings Shiraz Mataro 2024 G 93+ Deep crimson. Intense blackberry, brambly aromas with hints of aniseed and bush garrigue. Buoyant, youthful and expressive with ample elderberry, blackberry pastille, dark chocolate flavours and plentiful fine chocolaty firm tannins. Finishes grippy, bittersweet and crisp but balanced by seductive purple fruits. Drinking well now but let the elements fold and settle down. Drink 2026–2034 Langmeil Winery Langmeil Barossa Hallowed Ground Shiraz 2022 G 93+ Deep crimson. Attractive dark chocolate dark berry aromas with hints of vanilla and spice. Inky deep with sweet dark chocolate, boysenberry, blackberry fruits, supple ripe tannins and well-balanced vanilla marzipan notes. Finishes chocolaty firm and minerally with some liquorice notes. Bittersweet finish. Drink now–2034 Schild Estate Estate Shiraz 2022 G 93+ Medium-deep crimson. A classical modern Barossa Shiraz with fresh choco-berry fruits, some bush garrigue notes and plentiful fine chalky firm tannins. Lovely mid-palate viscosity with some ginger/ cedar notes at the finish. Very good value wine. Drink now–2032 Schubert Estate The Hatchling Shiraz 2021 G 93+ Deep crimson. Dark chocolate, musky plum, dark chocolate aromas with liquorice notes. Inky deep and chocolaty with ample blackberry dark chocolate flavours, chalky/ touch graphite tannins. Delicious buoyant Shiraz with lovely fruit definition, richness and volume. Drink now Tim Smith Wines Bugalugs Barossa Shiraz 2023 G 93+ Medium-deep crimson. Blackberry, mocha, hint wax polish aromas. Smooth, almost silky in texture with complex blackberry, mocha, brambly flavours and well-integrated roasted walnut, waxy notes. Bittersweet at the finish with chinotto/ cola/ red liquorice notes. Drinks very well. Drink now–2034
