Deep crimson. Lovely dark chocolate, brambly, dark cherry, blackberry aromas with hints of liquorice. Generous and velvety in structure with plentiful chocoberry fruits and underlying mocha notes. Finishes chocolaty and minerally with ample chinotto, sweet fruit notes. Drink now–2032 Thistledown Wines Our Fathers Shiraz 2022 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Intense blackberry, mocha, liquorice aromas with lifted seabreezy notes. Well-concentrated blackberry, herbgarden flavours, fine loose-knit slinky tannins and well-integrated savoury notes. Bittersweet at the finish. Sweet and savoury wine with some aniseed notes at the finish. Drink now–2038 Tim Smith Wines Shiraz 2022 G 94 Medium-deep crimson, Attractive blackberry, cacao, wood varnish aromas. Inky deep wine with abundant blackberry dark plum cassis fruits, fine chalky tannins and plentiful wax varnish, roasted walnut notes. Builds up firm at the finish. Lovely underlying fruit definition. Drink now–2045 Two Hands Bella’s Garden Shiraz 2022 G 94 Deep crimson. Attractive choco-berry aromas with flinty chinotto notes. Well concentrated wine with dense dark chocolate, blackberry fruits, fine gravelly firm textures, lovely inky density and fresh long quartz-like acidity. Drink now–2035 Yalumba Samuel’s Collection Barossa Shiraz 2023 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Blackberry, olive tapenade aromas with roasted walnut, chinotto notes. Expressive and sweet-fruited with attractive mid-palate density and persistent chocolaty tannins. All the elements in clockwork order. Drink now–2030 Yelland & Papps Limited Cuvée Shiraz 2023 G 94 Deep crimson. Black cherry, earthy marzipan aromas. Generously concentrated black cherry marzipan/ cedary flavours, and dense chocolaty/ velvety textures. Surprisingly minerally at the finish with a graphite plume. Drink now–2036
