Shut The Gate Wines For Love Watervale Riesling 2023 Very floral, lovely fine talc texture. Good flow and a very pretty and delicate wine. Shut The Gate Wines Estate Block Riesling 2022 Ripe lemon curd, summer white and yellow flowers. Lemon and lemon peel. Riposte Wines ‘The Scimitar’ Riesling 2024 Classic white flowers, oz style. Lots of skin, some extraction but pleasant and finished with lot of texture, don’t want to let it go! Eldredge Vineyards Spring Gully Riesling 2024 Lime zest, lean profile but with good chiselled acidity. Sauvignon Blanc Mount Benson Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2022 Reductive nose. Some sweaty funk and restraint. Lanolin aftertaste. Some glycerol or creaminess from lees fills out palate. Mineral aftertaste. Tomich Wines Woodside Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2023 Bright and fresh, pea tendril, mandarin and lime floral. Crunchy fruit, good acid and focus. Solid. Chardonnay Pike and Joyce Wines Sirocco Chardonnay 2023 Herbal edge, slight popcorn note. Nice use of phenolics to drive texture and length. Classic cool climate style done well. Pike and Joyce Wines The Kay Reserve Chardonnay 2023 Strong flinty reduction, big fruit and oak. Everything dialled up to 11 but done well. Anvers Kingsway Chardonnay 2022 Pale-med straw. Good integration of flinty and mineral characters. Mineral overall. A slightly salty salivating and understated Chardonnay. Elegant. Good length.
