Nectarine, white plum and lychee juice. A hint of watermelon candy and bergamot. There is a tickle of sweetness but so lightly dolloped, it’s barely perceivable. Instead, you get a wash of running acidity and a lovely prickle of spritz. Fun and flirty. Drink now Hither & Yon Mataro Rosé Mataro Rosé 2024 G 90 A delicate rose petal pink hue. Cherry blossom, watermelon rind and alpine strawberries. A wisp of cotton candy and rhubarb. The palate shows more Red Delicious apples and some savoury dried meat tones. Paprika and biltong. It’s dry and finishes with a nectarine blush. A perfect wine for almost all food possibilities. A good all around Rosé. Drink now Kangarilla Road Alluvial Fans Shiraz 2018 G 90 Plum pudding, figs and macerated boysenberries. A lick of carob and chocolate- covered coffee beans. A red heart of raspberry straps and pomegranate echo through. Tobacco leaf and savoury tones of rooibos tea and cured meats. This is in its soft and supple timeline with gritty tannins and baking spices at the fore. Drinking
