Deep crimson. Plum dark chocolate aromas with liquorice notes. Inky textured wine with smooth dark berry chocolaty fruits, grainy/chalky textures and well-integrated acidity. Smooth and velvety wine with ample raspberry, cassis fruit and fine-grained tannins. Firms up at the finish with fresh indelible acidity. Drink now–2030 Handpicked Collection Shiraz 2022 G 93 A fine example of Barossa Shiraz, the wine spends around 15 months in French oak, a mix of older and new barrels. An appealing deep red hue, the nose exhibits spicy notes, bay leaves, red fruits, liquorice, bergamot, tobacco leaves, dry herbs and some gently toasty oak. The wine has the requisite intensity and balance, with good acidity, supple tannins and a lingering finish. It should provide enormous pleasure over the next eight to 10 years. Drink now–2034 Hare’s Chase Vigilance Shiraz 2021 G 93 Deep crimson. Intense bouquet of eucalypt, vanillin, cedar and baked blackberries. Full-bodied with lashings of blackberry and vanillin, plush tannins and bright blueberry, mulberry fruit to the finish. An old-school style, offering power and intensity. 14.5% alc Drink now–2031 Head Wines Old Vine Shiraz 2022 G 93 Medium-deep crimson. Black cherry, touch earthy aromas with some cedar/bush garrigue notes. Inly deep and sinuous wine with attractive black cherry pastille, raspberry fruits, fine slinky textures and some waxy earthy notes. Finishes cedar al dente firm with seductive dark berry fruits. 14.5% alc Drink now–2032
