Medium-deep crimson. Intense blackberry, dark liquorice aromas with roasted walnut notes. Inky deep wine with pure blackberry, hint tobacco, aniseed flavours and fine slinky textures. Voluminous with ample fruit sweetness and vigour. Black liquorice at the finish. Touch sweet. 14.9% alc Drink now–2032 Château Tanunda Grand Barossa Riesling 2024 G 93 Pale colour. Classic camomile, pure lime aromas with hint slatey notes. Pure, tight and minerally with lime cordial, camomile, crispy apple flavours and fresh linear acidity. A touch of torque at the finish. Racy and refined wine with superb length. Let it age for a year. 12.5% alc Drink 2025–2035 Cooper Burns Barossa Valley GSM 2022 G 93 The blend is 70% Grenache, 15% Shiraz and 15% Mataro. A deep garnet hue for this Barossa blend, the nose gives us notes of red fruits, notably cherries, beef stock and warm earth. There is good ripeness here and the wine is powerful and poised while oak is evident and well handled. Moving to the palate, there is a sweet core of raspberries and chocolate. Showing good balance throughout, the wine is richly flavoured with fine, sleek tannins. A seamless style, this is rather delicious to enjoy now and over the next six years. Drink now–2030 Cooper Burns Sterling Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019 G 93 A deep garnet/red hue to this fine Barossa Shiraz. The nose is showing red fruits, coffee grinds, warm earth tones, black fruits and bay leaves. There is some maturity evident here on a supple palate which gives up notes of chocolate throughout. A medium weight style with a lingering finish, offering sleek tannins. Lots to like here and it should provide pleasure over the next four to six years. Drink now–2030 Cooper Burns Mason Barossa Valley Shiraz 2016 G 93 A serious value option here with plenty of age already. The colour is a garnet red and this is an appealing mature red, which is exhibiting some complexity. We have notes of plums, aniseed, tobacco leaves and blackcurrants. It is taut and well structured with bright acidity carrying the length, sleek tannins and a lingering finish. Terrific drinking now and over the next two to four years. Likeable and a bargain. Drink now–2028 Corryton Burge The Brigadier Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 G 93 Deep crimson. Intense blackcurrant, plum, and graphite aromas with leafy/chinotto notes. Generously flavoured wine with plentiful blackcurrant dark plum, cola flavours, fine bittersweet tannins and underlying savoury notes. Finishes cedar firm and crunchy/peppery. 15% alc Drink now–2030

Nothing to do with tributes to Shakespeare, this is named as the fruit has been sourced from a number of hamlets throughout the Barossa, mostly Vine Vale, Nuriootpa and Ebenezer, from vineyards planted back in the 1950s, and then supplemented with the barrels which did not find their way into the top wines. All of which makes this great buying and a little more than much ado about nothing. No new oak is used but rather a mix of older French and American, for a year. A deep red/garnet hue, the nose gives us lovely, seductive cherry notes with chocolate, spices, bergamot, bay leaves and red fruits. A supple texture with juicy acidity and decent length, through to fine tannins, all reveals a well crafted wine. Enjoy over the next six to eight years. Drink now–2032 Dandelion Vineyards Enchanted Garden of the Eden Valley Riesling 2023 G 93 This is made from free run juice in the classic, pure and pristine style reflecting all that is wonderful, indeed enchanted, about top Eden Valley Riesling. A gleaming lemon hue, the nose is all citrus, notably limes, with spices and florals, especially jasmine and frangipani, with a lemon sherbet character. There is juicy, rather puckering acidity along with focus, life and length. A lingering and well balanced

finish. This is a 10-year proposition. Drink now–2034 Dandelion Vineyards Menagerie of the Barossa GSM 2023

The name comes a patch of vines in their Gomersal vineyard – their menagerie – of three blocks, Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, a field blend. A whole bunch ferment, the wine spent a year maturing in old French oak barriques. Blood red/crimson in colour, the nose offers notes of spices galore, aniseed, raspberries, cinnamon, herbs and red fruits. A wine of medium weight and supple texture, there is a hint of the hedonistic here. The wine has excellent length, silky tannins and good force throughout. This will drink well over the next six to eight years, likely longer. Drink now–2032 Dandelion Vineyards Lionheart of the Barossa Shiraz 2023 G 93 An old Barossa vineyard, the team harvested this Shiraz in whole bunches, before a wild fermentation in open fermenters and subsequently, basket pressing into a mix of new and older (mostly the latter) French oak barriques for maturing for the next year and a half. A vibrant dark purple/magenta, the nose exhibits notes of coffee beans, cloves, mocha and dark chocolate. This moves to blueberries and mulberries with time in the glass. There is good intensity here, a quality Barossa Valley Shiraz. The wine is well crafted with a supple and soft texture and the wine finishes with silky tannins on a long finish. Impressive. A wine for enjoying over the next 10 years. Drink now–2034
