Anvers Kingsway Chardonnay 2024

G 93

A quieter aromatic begins this neatly styled expression, while the palate has a good drive train with fresher fruit notes, all the white stone fruits as well as some citrus, but with a nice spread of white nuttiness as well for texture and depth. Drink now– 2032 Berrigan Shining Rock Vineyards Grüner Veltliner 2025 G 93 Textural and salty – this is an effortlessly approachable wine. Custard apple, ocean succulents and Geraldton wax. It’s a delight – and, frankly, an absolute steal. The palate follows suit with white nectarine skin, lemon pith and wet-chalk phenolics. Best enjoyed on the coast, mid-smooch with your lover. Drink now–2030 BK Wines Skin n’ Bones Savagnin 2024 G 93 Biodynamic with lees contact for a year in a 1000L French acacia vessel. Salted lemon with crushed rock and chalk feel, a rising zing in the palate that finds a parallel arc in a salivating saline line that rides out the finish. Mouth-watering and very satisfying. Drink now–2028 Catlin Cheese and Kisses Fumé Blanc Sauvignon Blanc 2025 G 93 Wild fermented in oak and released in the same year as harvested, which maintains a freshness and zest in the palate after a more funky nose. It’s got all the slightly edgy smells and flavours of the tropics, with some lime citrus to straighten it up. Great mouth texture and palate weight for the variety, in a style that offers diversity and creativity. Drink now–2030 Catlin The Gellert Gamay 2024 G 93 A red with a skip in its step. Earthy and free-spirited, like a slow wander through the trees where wild berries grow unchecked. Raspberry leaf and paperbark weave through the aroma. The palate is youthful and kinetic, framed by chewy, rustic tannins and a long, tensioned finish laced with pomegranate and spice. Decant well before serving. Drink now–2031 Cobbs Hill Estate Southern Cross Reserve Cellar release Chardonnay 2021 G 93 A sparkling for Chardonnay drinkers – with great fruit weight, power and purity. White stone fruits hanging in the trees, mango seed flesh and ripe apples. The palate much the same. The sweetness is well managed, adding weight to the mid-palate and generosity to match the fruit character. An easy wine to drink, detailed by traditional-method complexity and 36 months on lees. Drink now–2028
