Briar, bracken, earth, dark fruits, spice and anise gather on the palate. It’s a lovely, expressive three-year-old with a heart of pure juiciness supported by supple tannins. That rise of Aussie bush mint is both a warm welcome and a lasting farewell on this wine. Drink now–2030 Tim Adams Cabernet, Malbec 2019 G 92 Cabernet Malbec has a long running association with the Clare Valley. It rightly deserves to be considered a regional star. Tim Adams fashions some of the best. Lovely lifted aromatics in violet, bay leaf, cassis, blackberries, anise and sage. Immediately supple and bright and built around well-proportioned tannins. It’s both sturdy and saturated in fruit flavour, finishing with a flash of lively aromatics. Drink now–2030

Consider this a more than suitable introduction to Clare Valley Shiraz. Boasts an unforced, easy-going attitude, while at the same time promoting the region’s deep, dark-berried style that is so inviting. Sweet-fruited blackberry, cassis and plum are lively and bright, matched to some equally upbeat spice, bay leaf and chocolate with a splash of pepper to close on a high note. So drinkable. Smooth and honeyed in texture, it floats effortlessly in tune with bright, neutral spirit, building through the finish. A lovely complex set of tastes to enjoy. 500ml.
