Torbreck Vintners The Steading Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier 2024
G 93
An intriguing blend of Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier from the Barossa, this is a gleaming pale lemon hue with most attractive aromatics. We weave through notes of stone fruits, peaches, ginger, apricots and spices with a gentle minerally backing. There is a creamy texture and a slight hazelnut touch on the finish. The wine has good balance and a very long finish. Much to like here and it should only become even more interesting in the years to come. Drink now–2033. Two Hands Charlie’s Garden Shiraz 2022 G 93 Deep crimson. Fresh blackberry pastille, roasted walnut aromas with hints of sage and spice. Well balanced wine with ample blackberry, dark cherry fruits, fine slinky tannins and underlying roasted walnut notes. Finishes Claret/ ferruginous-firm with peppery sage nuances. Drink now–2035

Classical cabernet palate with pure cassis herb flavours and fine grainy tannins. Finishes bittersweet and minerally. Drink now–2036 Yalumba Vat 11 Grenache 2024 G 93 The actual Vat 11, which gives its name to this wine, is a vessel used for the Yalumba winemakers to create and experiment with small parcels of quality fruit, in this case handpicked grenache from the Barossa Valley floor, specifically the sub-region of Marananga, a vineyard planted in 1965. A lovely crimson hue, the nose is appealingly spicy with cherries, cranberries, plums, herbs and raspberries. A sleek palate with a seductive texture, there is very good length here and the wine maintains its intensity throughout. Lots to like in this wine, which will surely continue to drink beautifully for at least the next eight years. Drink now–2033
