Medium-deep crimson. Intense musky plum, blackberry hint brambly aromas. Richly flavoured and smooth with musky plum, rhubarb flavours, fine slinky textures and fresh linear acidity. Delicious. Drink now–2030 Greenock Creek Alices Shiraz 2023 G 94 Deep crimson. Blackberry, peppermint aromas. Well concentrated pure blackberry, raspberry pastille flavours, chalky dense textures and underlying savoury oak notes. Finishes chocolaty firm with light peppermint notes. Drink now–2036 Greenock Estate GE Shiraz 2015 G 94 Blood red/maroon hue, there is some pleasing maturity with this wine. Good oak integration, chocolate, coffee grinds, spices, animal fur, mushrooms and root vegetables are all present and correct on the nose. This is dense, and supple, still offering energy and a good line of acidity. A lingering finish, this still has another 12–15 years ahead of it. A thoroughly enjoyable mature Barossa red. Under cork. Drink now–2040 Hayes Family Wines Glengrae Grenache 2024 G 94 Medium crimson. Redcurrant, hint marzipan aromas with nougat notes. Refined redcurrant strawberry aromas with marzipan/ roasted walnut notes and long supple textures. Tapers to a minerally finish. Drink now–2030
