Deep crimson. Intense blackberry, black cherry aromas with musky chinotto notes. Richly flavoured and fruit sweet with pure blackberry jam, juicy black cherry fruits, plentiful chocolaty textures and underlying mocha/ cedar notes. Bittersweet finish lengthens the wine. Still in parts but should develop well. Drink now–2038 Soul Growers Single Vineyard Helbig Shiraz 2023 G 94+ Deep crimson. Fresh chocolate dark cherry aromas with some liquorice/ hint cedar notes. Dark chocolate, dark cherry, elderberry fruits, plentiful chalky tannins, lovely inky density and attractive linear freshness. Juicy and fleshy, with attractive definition and vigour. Drink now–2038 Teusner Kavalier Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 G 94+ Deep crimson. Blackcurrant pastille, liquorice aromas with marzipan notes. Generous and sweet fruited with ample blackcurrant fruits, brambly textures and well-interacted savoury notes. Finishes Claret-firm with some aniseed notes. Vivacious wine with a tight line of acidity. Let it settle for a while. Drink 2027–2040 Torbreck Vintners The Struie Shiraz 2023 G 94+ Deep crimson. Attractive dark plum, praline, touch peppercorn aromas. Generous and mouthfilling wine with ample dark plum, blackberry pastille, pure aniseed flavours with fine chalky firm tannins and underlying mocha notes. Finishes bittersweet/ firm with cedarwood/ liquorice notes. Needs another year to unpack. Drink now–2036 Two Hands Ares Shiraz 2020 G 94+ Deep crimson. Attractive blackberry, mocha, earthy aromas with some ferruginous, wax polish notes. Dense choco-berry, marzipan, roasted chestnut flavours with fine grainy textures and persistent fresh mineral acidity. Finishes Claret-firm with some developed earthy, bittersweet notes. 14.5% alc Drink now–2040
