Taylors Jaraman Chardonnay 2025
G 91
In this fruitful collaboration, Adelaide Hills lemony, bright acidity meets Clare Valley fruit generosity and the result is one super crisp and crunchy, citrus-led Chardonnay. Lemon citrus and stone fruits, honeysuckle and mealy, it rides creamy in texture on a line of bright acidity. Offers immediate top drinking pleasure for the tiny $26 price tag. Drink now–2030 Tim Adams Mr Mick Riesling 2025 G 91 A joyous young Riesling alive in crunchy citrus fruits that hits the spot both in price and in easy-drinking appeal. Typically Clare, with its lemon-lime scents, hints of lemongrass, herbs and florals. The palate is taut and super crisp with an additional lemon fruit tingle buzz. Makes for some truly refreshing summer drinking, especially with that crunchy, tangy finish. Drink now–2030 Topé Afternoon Roll Grenache 2023 G 91 Iridescent cherry red crimson hues catch the eye. The scent of cherries, red plums and spice and a bright, peppery spiced palate does the rest. With energy to burn and an attractive juiciness, it makes for enjoyable early drinking but should also age medium term. Drink now–2028 Anthologist Riesling 2023 G 90 Developed in both colour and style for a two-year-old, with aromas of honeysuckle, ripe pear, bruised apple and notes of preserved lemon. Combines the savoury with the citrus in a wine that runs smooth and textural across the middle palate before assuming a lemon sharp pithiness to close. Drink now–2028 Artwine Bella Donna Falanghina 2025 G 90 A first for Artwine, its inaugural Falanghina is dry, textural and lightly savoury in style. White stone fruits, citrus, quince, acacia and green almond carry plenty of freshness with the lightest hint of wild honey. It’s upfront and honest, a wine with rustic charm and it delivers plenty of lasting flavour. Drink now–2028 Artwine Prego Pinot Grigio 2025 G 90 This is the 18th vintage of Pinot Grigio for Artwine. Colour is a light blush. Scents are dusty, earthy and citrussy bright with ripe apple and pear. The palate packs tart, tangy apple, pear and citrus and earthy ginger against a chalky texture. It’s well made, finishing with a gently savoury grip. Drink now–2028
