From the famed Marananga sub-region, this has been bottled under Diam. Dark maroon hue, this is powerful and intense with notes of black fruits, mocha, espresso, axle grease, liquorice, coffee beans, cloves and plums, with the plums really shining on the palate. The wine has impressive length and fine, lingering tannins with a sleek and appealing texture. The intensity never wavers. Ideally, leave this for four to five years and then enjoy for the following fifteen. Drink 2030–2045 Sons of Eden Cirrus Single Vineyard Riesling 2022 G 95 Pale colour. Fragrant lemon curd, lifted bath salts, developed oil skin notes and camomile. Beautifully concentrated wine, ample lemon-lime freshness, grapefruit and touch of lanolin. Plenty of vinosity and freshness carried by a fine loose-knit chalky texture and superb length. Drink 2027–2040 Sons of Eden Notus Grenache 2023 G 95 Deep crimson. Intense raspberry strawberry liquorice aromas with roasted walnut notes. Generously concentrated wine with abundant strawberry raspberry fruits and fine chocolaty tannins. Some flinty/ graphite/ herbgarden notes at the finish. Very big presence with lovely density and vigour. Drink now–2034 Sons of Eden Romulus Old Vine Shiraz 2022 G 95 Deep colour. Ripe blackberry, salted liquorice aromas with malty notes. Richly concentrated blackberry cedar spice flavours, plentiful grippy tannins and well- balanced mocha, malty notes. Chocolaty at the finish with some chinotto notes. Sweet and savoury wine with very good vinosity and mineral length. Drink now– 2038 Soul Growers Single Vineyard Hoffmann Shiraz 2023 G 95 Deep crimson. Fragrant mulberry, musky dark cherry, praline aromas. Velvety textured and sweet fruited with ample raspberry, mulberry, dark cherry fruits, chocolaty tannins and well-balanced mocha/ notes. Firms up at the finish with some leafy notes. Drink now–2042 St Hallett Blackwell Shiraz 2023 G 95 Deep crimson. Intense dark cherry, blackberry, marzipan aromas. Buoyant and velvety with ripe dark cherry, blackberry fruits, underlying marzipan, roasted walnut notes and fine chocolaty textures. Finishes Claret-firm. The perfect all-round Barossa wine with buoyancy and definition. Drink now–2032
