Pale colour. Lifted lemon camomile aromas. Classical in structure with lovely lemon curd, camomile, tonic water flavours, light chalky textures and lovely fresh linear/ mineral acidity. Al dente notes at the finish. Drink now–2036 Curator Stonehouse Neldner Vineyard Shiraz 2023 G 95 Near opaque black with a magenta rim. Mocha, coffee beans, leather, blackberries and cocoa powder are all present. Most of all, the wine is wonderfully chocolaty. Deft handling of the oak, a mix of French and American, provides attractive vanillin touches. This is plush, generous and approachable, with good focus, freshness, density and superb balance. Early signs of the complexity are emerging. The wine finishes with abundant but cushiony and ever-so-fine tannins. There is serious length to this wine. Delicious now, but many years ahead of it. Drink now–2045 Eden Hall Reserve Riesling 2024 G 95 The fruit for this superb Eden Valley Riesling, made by Phil Lehmann, comes from selected rows in their estate Block 10. The colour is a very pale straw. The aromas are immediately reminiscent of freshly baked lemon cheesecake with notes of limes, spices and grapefruit. Good citrusy notes all round. There is superb balance here, and a chalky backing with fine lemony acidity, which runs the full length of the wine. A juicy style with a very long and persistent finish. Such promise. This will drink beautifully for at least the next fifteen years. Love it. Drink now–2040. Eisenstone SR804 Marananga Shiraz 2022 G 95 Deep colour. Classical blackberry dark chocolate aromas with nutmeg/ roasted chestnut notes. Beautifully concentrated and inky deep with plentiful choco-berry fruits, chocolaty textures and well-integrated roasted chestnut/ vanilla notes. Finishes firm and minerally with a fine plume of tannins. Drink 2030–2042 Eisenstone SR807 Koonunga Shiraz 2022 G 95 Medium-deep crimson. Black cherry, praline, touch wood varnish/ shellac notes. Generously concentrated with ample pure black cherry fruits, fine persistent grainy/ velvety tannins, lovely mid-palate volume and underlying dark chocolate/ mocha / cedar notes. Firm and minerally at the finish with seductive bittersweet dark berry fruits. Drink now–2040 Eisenstone SV902 Hoffmann DV (Dimchurch) Vineyard Shiraz 2022 G 95 Deep crimson. Expressive blackberry, roasted coffee, mocha aromas with vanilla notes. Plush and seductive blackberry, espresso, dark chocolate flavours, fine chocolaty, slightly ferruginous tannins, voluminous mid-palate and well-integrated vanilla spicy notes. Chocolaty long finish. A classic, powerful sweet-fruited Barossa Shiraz with the elements all beginning to fold. Drink 2027–2044
