Beautifully concentrated blackberry, mocha, praline flavours and plentiful loose- knit dense chalky tannins. Very good volume and richness. Firm chocolaty finish. Drink now–2040 Schwarz Wine Co Nitschke Block Shiraz 2022 G 96 Deep crimson. Lovely dark chocolate, blackberry aromas with hints of liquorice. Generous and inky deep with ample dark berry dark chocolate flavours and fresh velvety smooth tannins. Finishes cedar firm with mineral herbgarden notes. A really likeable and versatile style. Drink now–2035 Seppeltsfield Great Terraced Vineyard Single Vineyard Grenache 2024 G 96 Medium crimson. Lifted strawberry red cherry pastille aromas, with Campari/ cola notes. Beautiful balanced wine, with lovely pure strawberry red cherry cola flavours, fine chalky textures, superb mid-palate viscosity, and well-integrated fresh acidity. Medium powered but builds to the finish. Drink now–2034 Sons of Eden Zephyrus Shiraz 2022 G 96 Deep crimson. Intense raspberry, black strap liquorice aromas with mocha notes. Fresh ripe blackberry praline flavours, persistent al dente tannins and complexing mocha, marzipan, roasted walnut notes. Chocolaty/ grippy at the finish with seductive sweet fruit notes. Less is more here. Drink now–2032 Soul Growers Single Vineyard Hampel Shiraz 2023 G 96 Deep crimson. Dark chocolate, dark berry, hint stone fruit aromas with marzipan/ vanilla notes. Inky deep choco-berry fruits with marzipan, chinotto notes, slinky/ chalky textures and plentiful underlying juicy acidity. Finishes a touch oaky with seductive sweet fruits. Leave it for a while. Drink 2027–2040
