Deep crimson. Developing blackberry, marzipan, earthy aromas, with hints of liquorice. Concentrated blackberry, marzipan, espresso flavours, loose-knit chalky textures and fresh long juicy acidity. A hint of tobacco at the finish. Now–2038 Glaetzer Wines Amon-Ra Shiraz 2023 G 93 Deep crimson. Lifted and perfumed blackberry cedar aromas with praline notes. Fresh and linear in structure with ample blackberry, roasted coffee, dark chocolate aniseed flavours, firm cedary tannins and underlying black olive notes. Firm bittersweet finish. Now–2038 Golden Amrita Nectar Shiraz 2024 G 93 Medium-deep crimson. Classical dark chocolate dark berry aromas with liquorice, herb garden notes. Smooth and sweet-fruited with abundant choco-berry fruits, velvety textures and underlying marzipan notes. Finishes gravelly and long with plentiful ripe fruits. Now–2038 Greenock Creek Wines Casey’s Block Shiraz 2022 G 93 Intense dark plum, ginger, panforte, dark chocolate aromas with spicy notes. Buoyant and fresh with dense saturated dark plum, blackberry fruits, attractive mid-palate volume, some leafy sappy notes and plentiful mocha, cinnamon oak notes. Very generous and chocolaty – reminiscent of the Parker era. Now–2038 Greenock Creek Wines Seven Acre Shiraz 2023 G 93 Deep crimson. Black olive smoked charcuterie, panforte aromas with hints of bush garrigue. Generously proportioned with ample dark berry fruits, black olive notes, chocolaty/velveteen textures and balanced mocha oak notes. Meaty complexity gives the wine individuality and presence. Some herbal notes at the finish. Now–2036 Hayes Family Wines Renshaw Marananga Shiraz 2024 G 93 Deep crimson. Dark desiccated plum, blackberry pastille, praline, roasted hazelnut aromas. Massively concentrated dark berry fruits, some prune/molasses notes, chocolaty textures, lovely mid-palate generosity and inky/mineral flow. Builds velveteen-firm with roasted nuts, ultra ripe dark berry fruits and liquorice at the finish. 2028–2038
