Howard Vineyard Pinot Noir 2025
G 91
Confected and delightful. This wine holds its own among the youngsters but is easily enjoyed by all – the kind you bring to a family gathering to smooth over any tension. Red skins, sweet clove and even a hint of chocolate-coated, freeze-dried strawberries. The palate is bright and tight, with a flicker of snapped twig and a child-like giddiness. Tannins are chunky, chewy and just a little sticky. Drink now – and may it forever keep you young. Drink now–2029 K1 by Geoff Hardy Rosé Nebbiolo, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay 2025 G 91 A bit of a splish-splash of varieties here, made to fit a style that is fresh and bright, with all the suggestions of strawberry and raspberry squash, with a decent nerve of acidity through the palate. Hits the right notes. Drink now–2028 La Prova Aglianico 2025 G 91 The first Australian Aglianico Rosé I’ve seen. The pale pink colour is nothing unusual, but the novelty of the wine makes it fun to drink. Musk sticks, pressed rose petals and white nectarine. The palate is fresh and textural, finishing with wet chalk on stone – tactile and tense. Bright red berries follow through, with a saline finish. Drink now–2030 Land of Tomorrow Pinot Noir 2024 G 91 Bright styling. Familiar stemmy and woody notes to begin, with a crunchy red- fruits seam sitting underneath, then rising in the palate with vibrant energy, some chewiness in the palate with tannins and acidity jockeying for notice. Crafted with a fresher mindset. Drink now–2030
Land of Tomorrow Chardonnay 2024
G 91
Approachable and not overworked. Almond meal, preserved lemon and white peach. Sweet oak cocoons the fruit – light on its feet but still creamy, with yoghurt, grapefruit pith and a hint of pencil shavings. Cinnamon dust in the tail. Just a really easy, likeable wine; drink it whenever you feel like not overthinking life. Drink now–2030 Little So & So Wine Co Precious Little Gamay 2025 G 91 From the Kuitpo district with 40% whole bunch. Fresh smells, sweetish cherry juice and foresty leaf. All very pretty and suggestive of Spring seasonal aromas, quite juicy and crimson plum and berry driven, with a lively palate structure, acidity and a gentle squeeze of tannins giving this a bright personality. Drink now–2028
