Adelaide Hills Wine Guide 2026

Ngeringa Pinot Noir 2024

G 92

Elegant and witty – this wine knows a thing or two. Rooibos tea, sweet clove, pomegranate, redcurrant and rhubarb give it lift and intrigue. There’s umami tucked quietly beneath – shiitake broth and earth – giving savoury depth to all that pretty fruit. Light on its feet, but clever enough to leave an impression. Drink now–2030 Paracombe Plateau Pinot Noir 2022 G 92 From the mid-northern Hills district of Paracombe, there’s a bushland leaf litter bouquet here, and plenty of kitchen herbs in the mix. The palate taps into the cherry spectrum, a touch of bay leaf, pepper and spice as well, which season the finish with a neatly balanced kiss of tannins that are already easing with a few years on the

clock. Drink now–2030 Pike & Joyce Sirocco Chardonnay 2024

G 92

Restraint, compared to many of its Adelaide Hills counterparts. Linear and witty. Finger lime, almond meal, yellow grapefruit and green olive brine. A well-packaged joy to drink, and one easily missed if you’re not paying attention. The palate is taut and detailed, acid framing the fruit with precision. Pure and misty. Chalky phenolics grip, and that mineral drag through the finish – like licking rain off a rock. Drink now–2030

Pike & Joyce Separe Grüner Veltliner 2025

G 92

Gooseberry, grapefruit sorbet, and pomelo pith. A textural, bright little Grüner – all hallmark grip and rustic edge. Grape skin, crisp radish, and crystal dust. The winemaking’s texture play is spot-on, bringing grip and tension but letting the fruit weight steal the glory. Long, fruit-driven finish. Drink it with your rustic mate on a rustic bench over rustic ceviche – obviously. Drink now–2030 Riposte Pinot Gris 2025 G 92 Nuanced, pure, and an effortless ride. The colour’s kissed with a peach-skin blush. It shows all the typicity of the grape and style – tart pear, fennel seed and torn grass. The palate grips subtly with apple seed and grapefruit pith. Fresh and youthful, yet comfortable in its own skin. The acid and texture bring a sinewy, moreish chew that keeps you coming back for another sip. Drink now–2029
